  1. What is Placeknow.com?
    Placeknow.com is a social photo world atlas. It comes into being due to your participation for entertainment and education of us all.
  2. Who is Placeknow.com addressed to?
    Placeknow.com may be used by everybody who holds of pictures of different world places they feel like boasting of not only to their friends but also to all portal users. Owing to your pictures everybody looking for some information about a specific destination will be able to get to know the place much closer when going through them.
  3. What is the 'World Map' ?
    Any user may create their own world map that is generated on the basis of pictures added to the portal. Each of the user's map holds of a unique www address, and so it may be sent to our friends/acquaintances.
  4. How can the portal use my pictures?
    The copyright to the pictures still remains at the author's. What the portal does is only publishing the pictures added by users in an attractive and interesting method.
  5. How can you be listed as 'Top users' ?
    Top users list is created on the basis of pictures added and quantity of places in which the pictures were taken. To become the Top User you just need to add as many pictures as possible!
  6. How to add pictures?
    To add one picture or more than one pictures at one time, you need to log in, add the Add photos option, and then select pictures from your PC. As a second step, you need to adjust the pictures to cities/towns and categories. That is all ;)
  7. How does the picture importing process from Flickr and Facebook operate?
    Having selected the portal out of which you want to import your pictures into Placeknow to, you can see the list of all of your pictures from the respective portal; at the very stage all you need to do is choosing only the photos you intend to import to Placeknow. Photos present at the other portals shall not change anyhow and shall not be deleted, too.
  8. What are the categories of the portal I can assign my photos to?
    At present the categories are at follows:
    • Attractions
    • Nightlife
    • Animals
    • Landscape
    • Women
    • Vehicles
    • Food
    • Just city!

  9. Is there any smartphone application that may be used for viewing the added pictures?
    Yes, we have prepared the Apps based on iOS and Android - they may be downloaded at: www.app.placeknow.com
  10. What does it mean if "Great!" is added to the picture?
    If you do like a picture and you want it to climb higher in the ranking, it is enough for you to click the "Great!" button.
  11. Can I find you a any popular social networking websites?

  12. How can I invite my friends to come and use the portal?
    The portal offers tools for the logged-in people through which you may invite your Facebook or Twitter friends when publishing the post on your board. You may also invite your friends when applying the "Invite by mail" function.
  13. Who may watch my pictures and my "World Map"?
    Placeknow comes as a public portal; thus, each user may view the pictures and maps belonging to other users.
